Word on the grapevine from earlier today says that credit was given for the latest homebrew enabler created using the GripShift exploit to the wrong person – on purpose.
A developer known as Miriam took credit for the homebrew enabler, but Dark AleX, the original innovator of the GripShift exploit itself, announced that the exploit relied on a leak from Team C+D, and that the credit duly belongs to joek.
Here’s an except from Dark AleX’s posting on this matter:
This is about this.

This is about how I trusted someone called “miriam” and I gave him a kernel exploit of C+D, which was found by joek (the ONLY ONE that deserves credit of that), just to play for HIMSELF, as it is being used to decrypt 3k modules, but the first thing he did was to show to others to get a bit of fame.
Now i realize not to trust anyone anymore, thanks.
Due to the amount of espionage and pilfering rampant on the underground scene these days, it’s no wonder that the masterful coders and exploit seekers like to keep to themselves. Here’s a statement released on Sceners.org from Dark AleX’s webmaster, Alek, who was in contact with MaGiXieN from PSPGEN:
I spoke with MaGiXieN last night, and well, i didn’t knew this, but since this is what has happened, from dark-alex.org, thanks french “developers”, thanks Miriam, or well, maybe i’d call you HellDashX, instead of Miriam, as it’s your real identity.
You’ve deceived and lied to spanish, french, and other people, and the ones that have helped you even on that GEN lame copy cfw, as you couldn’t even finish your own modules.
You don’t have any right to use that exploit, as it isn’t yours, as anything that you have claimed is yours. You won’t get any more help from us. Dot.
More news on the GripShift drama as it drops. For now, be glad that you’re as morally accountable as we think that you are.

I don’t know the whole story but even if someone did copy the cfw that doesn’t mean you can’t trust anyone. I mean there are plenty off good people out there and are willing to help people out without any credit at all. Don’t get me wrong, I respect both off you. I just don’t see why it has to be such a big deal., I mean you guys are fellow hackers working on the same thing with the same goals, PSP Hacking.
I agree completely, nerDE.
