Boombastic v0.2 is a new morsel of homebrew entertainment that just dropped from underworld developer MoOm. The game is essentially a Bomberman clone, except that you’ll be driving a tank around. The tank’s got bombs and rockets. Graphics appear to be pretty smooth. There’s not much in the way of words from the game’s developer, so you’ll have to give this one a spin and make up your own mind.
Our guess is that it’ll do its job adequately of giving you something to do while your girlfriend’s in the shower. We don’t know much else about it, but we do know that the game features houses, trees, rocks, and explosions. We guess you could imagine that you’re somewhere in the desert, deep behind enemy lines. Maybe you’re on a different planet entirely. Or, the whole game could be a giant metaphor for 21st century pacifist disillusionment. Yep, that’s what it is. It’s a sociopolitical statement. That’s what it is. We’ve got you all figured out, MoOm. Anyway, grab the game here and start blowing stuff up right away.
