Brewing wizard manatails007 has just made public his PSPBTCNF editor, which he names PSPBTCNF Tool. This helpful little application allows users to manage the pspbtjnf.bin, pspbtknf.bin and pspbtlnf.bin files on your PSP, offering functions for extracting, editing, building and flashing the files. Ultimately, the program allows you to load plguins directly from flash0. Check out the simple instruction set from the developer:
- Press X to extract BIN files to ms.
- it will be saved as text format. now you can edit it with your text editor
- text files will be created at root directory of your memory stick
- Press TRIANGLE to build BIN files
- convert your modified text files to BIN format
- Press SQUARE to flash BIN files
- it flashes your new edited BIN files to flash0.
Unfortunately, the current version of PSPBTCNF Tool does not support the PSP Slim. Also, you’ll have to build .bin files prior to flashing them, or you’ll brick your beloved PSP. Much love to manatails007 for his work on the program, which should prove to be a very useful application as it evolves.
