The totally tubular developer “a noob” has released the first version of his radical homebrew, the unmatchable Gnarly Pong. This game appears to be more of a demo; it’s not actually playable yet, though it showcases the Gear Works Engine. The pong paddles move on their own: It’s a computer vs. computer deathmatch to the finish, complete with some psychedelic visuals.
At this point, the software works more like a screensaver, filling up your PSP with some dazzling colors. You’ll have to load it up and check it out for yourself. Launching the program will get the demo started, and you’ll be able to jump right in to the paddles-and-patterns goodness.
Props to a noob for his contribution, and we hope to see this demo emerge into a gnarly, fully-playable game of some sort.
