Coming out of the brewer’s cauldron steaming hot is a new application, currently still in beta, that allows users of the PSP browser to overcome memory limitations and experience a much smoother Internet. The formidable programming group, Team P86, offers up Netfront Internet Browser Beta. The spokesman for the project, the astute application athlete, Ardatan, offers up a few notes on the new project:
- You know, Sony limits our memory in Internet Browser. So we cannot play big flash games and open big web sites.
- This mod removes this limitation. And you can use all of the memory that your PSP has.
- If your PSP is Fat, the HighMemMod uses all of 32 MB RAM.
- If your PSP is Slim, the HighMemMod uses all of 64 MB RAM!!!
As mentioned, Netfront Internet Browser is still in beta, so you can expect to run into a few hitches as Team P86 irons them out and adds more functionalities. We suggest that you grab the download package here and become an early adopter, so that you can offer up any advice to the programmers that you can. Thanks to Team P86 for what appears to be a terrific browser plug-in and a great piece of homebrew.
