PSPXTI Is A Fantastic TI-92 Calculator Emulator For Your PSP

PSPXTI: A TI-92 Calculator emulator v1.3.0

An excellent emulator of the powerful TI-92 graphing calculator named XTiger was a Unix-based, X-Window run project developed by one cerebral coder named Jonas Minnberg. The original application was closed source, but since the project has been laying fallow for some time, the developer allowed Misha Nasledov to open the code and create a GPL version of the program. PSP-XTI the resulting port to the PlayStation Portable of this formidable emulator that’s geared towards advanced mathematics. It appears that PSP-XTI v1.3.0 is a direct adaptation of the Unix version 0.8. A few new things have been added this time around, though, which you can see in the changelog below:

  • New background images
  • Add Load & Save states
  • Text editor to write your own comments

(or to read math courses  )

  • Finally fix issue with “Home -> Exit” & Sleep mode
  • Add a new settings menu

Since the program is distributed under GNU license, the source code is included with the archive package. The port was developed on Linux and intended for Firmware 1.5 and 5.0-M33. It’s been tested with a standard PSP Fat hooked up to a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard. For usage instructions, you’ll want to peruse the included readme text; this is a pretty complicated piece of machinery, so unless you have some working familiarity with the TI line of graphing calculators, it’s well advised to educate yourself on the basics before trying to solve the mysteries of the Universe.
