PSP Bop It EXTREME v1.0 Is Exploding With Fun

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

PSP Bop it EXTREME v1.0

We’ve got a fresh home-cooked meal right here, and it looks like something that came out of our nostalgic inner child playground dream world. Its developer, the patently prescient underworld programmer, ktxi007, offers up a tidy explanation right here:

“Hi! This is my second psp homebrew game an it’s called PSP Bop it EXTREME. It’s a PSP version of Bop it Extreme, a popular toy by Hasbro. Because it’s the first version it still doesn’t have the music and it tells you what to do by text but I will add music in future versions.

I have made 3 versions of the game. One in English, one in Catalan, my native language, and one in Spanish.”

That’s the truth. This thing will have you boppin,’ joppin,’ noodlin,’ choodlin,’ and everything else you can think of in the way of aggressively acting upon your instinct to spazz out spastically. You’ll want to make sure you’ve got your crash helmet rigged up, your adventuring cape secured tight to your neck and your stompin’ boots strapped tight to your feet before you jump into this thing. Grab the download package right here to give it a try.

Fallout 3 Theme Makes Us Remember Life Before The Blast

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Fallout 3 PSP-Boy 4000

Before the world was devastated by a series of thundering mushroom clouds, we all had a little bit of certainty that our futures would be somehow full of merriment and worth; now, the land is laid flat, and we’re all just standing here, looking at the destruction. At least you’ve got a PSP Theme to commemorate it. Here’s the Fallout 3 Theme, cooked up by somebody who misses the good old days of humanity, when society teemed with traditional functions and everything was just a piece of cake.

In case you don’t know, this is precisely what must be done:

  • Place theme.p3t file in X:/PSP/THEME/ folder and select theme from XMB->Settings->Themes
  • X is your psp USB or PSP media card
  • Or Download Only theme file directly from your PSP internet browser.

Flash Spacer V2 Hits The Scene

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

PSP homebrew - Flash Spacer V2: now uninstalls Camera function

The prominent underground seer of algorithmic wisdom, alex_e just clawed his way to the thriving PlayStation homebrew scene again, and this time he’s carrying an update to his Flash Spacer application.

Flash Spacer V2 now enables you to deselect the camera function, freeing up a bit of RAM in a pinch. Check out the changelog:

  • Fxed a bug where it would only create back-ups when flash spacer was placed in PSP/GAME, this is now fixed, it now runs in all the game folders.

Please, though: Tread carefully along this course, for it doth tinker with the flash0 of the PlayStation Portable. You might brick your beloved handheld hunk of fun. Thanks again to alex_e for his intrepid adventures through the labyrinthine dimension of backyard PlayStation code.

Now, we expect all of you to be gentle with this code, because it’s a genius project still in development. Do, however, encourage the developer to cast off the chains of the mainstream menace and thrust ever forward towards the homebrew fantasy that is the PlayStation Portable underground.

PSP homebrew - PSP-Magic: A Magic Screen for PSP v1.0.1

Hot off the presses is a fantastic new Etch-A-Sketch homebrew from the talented, bombastic and relentless underworld coding cabalist, Zx81. Now, we just saw a drop of a different home-cooked Etch-A-Sketch application at the end of March, so you’ll have to grab this one just so y’all can put ‘em up side by side and do some serious homebrew comparing. Like the real Etch-A-Sketch, this thing draws on the screen. You can pretty much doodle to your heart’s content, but don’t shake the PSP to clear the scribbles – it just won’t do anything. Check out the control list:

  • Cross – Draw mode (on/off)
  • Triangle – Erase mode (on/off)
  • Cursor – Move on the magic screen
  • Analog – Move on the magic screen
  • Circle – Increment step
  • Square – Decrement step
  • Select – Menu

Simple, yes – but excellent, gnarly, rad and unstoppably keen. This is a terrific application to add your ever-growing list of terrific applications without which you’re not to leave the comfort of your canopy-covered snuggle nest! So, download it right here, right now, right away.

  • RTC updated:

  • New cap file system (you must now include a .inf file with your cap file) (more information on this below)
  • WPA-PSK 1 & 2 Cracker (Now fixed, and a bit faster thanks to Jake and Brandon’s help and advice)
  • WPA-PSK 1 & 2 cracker improved speed using dual thread (up to 3.74 p/s)
  • WPA-PSK 1 & 2 hash file cracker added (faster but requires you to use the dict2hash for every ssid)
  • WPA-PSK 1 & 2 hash file generator (dict2hash) (removed multi-threading to this due to file IO conflicts)
  • More improvements have been done to the wpa cracker (New sha1 implementation)(now 9.44 p/s(without ME))

  • contain the following

CODE

#Capfile information file

#********Security_type********

# 0 = NONE

Decrypt Is An Awesome And Gnarly Game

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

Decrypt

That’s right, we said it. This game is awesome and gnarly. Decrypt appears to be a brain-teasing application cooked up by the underworld function samurai, Caux. Here’s what he has to say about his little pet project, with our comments interspliced:

“Haaaa! Sunny days and return with them, the sun, the beach and the pool deck before.”

  • Ha, ha to you! We never had a pool deck in the first place.

“I therefore “Decrypt”, a simple concept, which will keep you occupied during your tan on the beach. The goal is very simple, decrypt a coded message. Decrypt still very difficult game and only your intelligence will take you to victory. “

  • You’re assuming we have any intelligence. We’ll probably just cry a lot when our heads explode from this awesome game.

  • + 50 levels
  • Graphics clear and clean you can play in full light.
  • simple, quick tutorial.
  • Very detailed help menu that will teach you the basics of simple decoding to solve puzzles.

There it is, folks. Everything you need to have a righteous good time. Grab this download package right here to get started boggling yourselves with mysterious delight.

Sparta AppUI 0.8PB Thunders In

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

PSP homebrew - Sparta AppUI 0.8PB

Up fresh from the daring double-down developer KyBlz is a brand new shell application hacked off of the Sparta exploit that’ll put up a Windows-like user interface for y’all to feel homebubbly about. On the screen is a taskbar that’ll let you close and minimize programs, though KyBlz could only include two applications due to the memory constraints of this particular exploit.

Sparta AppUI 0.8PB should run with precision and excellence on all current m33 firmware builds and all PlayStation Portable models. Also, there’s a note here saying not to click directly on text, so don’t click directly on text. Click near the text, maybe just behind the text, but not right on top of the text. Just avoid the text. Just avoid it. But, grab the download package here and get started with this nifty little offshoot project that just might be the UI you were waiting for all your life.

Projects like this remind us to step back, put on our crash helmets, and just marvel at the sheer ingenuity of the effervescent PlayStation underground that we like to call home.

Here’s the official installation instruction set, and some credits for y’all to appreciate:

Battle Fantasy v0.1 Demo Hits The Ground Running

PSP homebrew: Battle Fantasy v0.1 Demo

Hot off the presses today is a little Lua title that’s shaping up to be an interesting project from the outset. Even though it’s just a little baby demo right now, the project could blossom into a righteous homebrew fighting game champion that’ll play deep for keeps. The game is pretty simple to fathom – you just kind of beat up your opponent in the guise of a character plucked from an assortment of manga dimensions.

The programmer responsible for this project is the unstoppable underworld algorithmist, Dark_Shark, who’s a ninja in the Dark_Devs clan. Here’s a little message from Dark_Shark himself:

“In this first version, you can play with Naruto fighting with Goku. The movements are available to jump, punch, kick, teleport, defend and recover energy.”

Controls are as follows:

  • Up to Teleport
  • Triangle and 100 energy for special
  • Down for Recover energy
  • Circle to Kick
  • Square to Punch
  • Cross to Jump
  • R to Defense
  • Start for Pause

We recommend you check this game out right now, so you can get in early on a project that’s just about to take off.
