Video Trailer For Tekken 6’s Steve Fox

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Tekken 6: Exclusive Steve Fox trailer

What do you say we feature Tekken 6’s Steve Fox? You probably know by now I’m a big fan of the series, so I basically gather anything I can about the popular franchise game.

Tekken’s Steve Fox is a middleweight boxing champion from England (atleast that’s what his story tells in the game). And if you’re smart enough, you’re going to notice that Steve always wear his red and blue boxing gloves. Steve’s rapid-punching moves are has been a fan favorite ever since his debut. No one punches like him among all the characters in Tekken. And though he doesn’t have that much kick-ass ability (like other characters), his punching combinations can knock you out in seconds.

Steve’s speedy boxing abilities can pretty much throw you out of the game. If you’ve been punch one time, expect two or more three punches to follow after that. Watch out for Steve in Tekken 6. Steve will be boxing fans’ official hero in Tekken.

An Update Of Laby PSP v0.3

Laby PSP v0.3

Although I hate maze games like this one, I cannot stop myself from posting this particular labyrinth game for the simple reason that it actually rocks most gaming boats. I’m not sure if I mentioned this before but I specifically hate maze games because of my phobia to enclosed spaces.

The Laby PSP v0.3, however, has a pretty crisp and clean layout that does not make me feel claustrophobic at all. I tried it once and surprisingly liked the way the game goes. Homebrew coder tibolink releases this update of the labyrinth and obstacle game that takes on a few changes like an upgrade to six levels (can’t remember how many levels there were in the previous release) and an option to reset the score (be careful though lest your baby brother/sister accidentally pushes the reset button).

This one’s a pretty convenient game to include in your roster of your installed games in your PSP. There’s charm, and it’s not a bit annoying even if you did not manage to mangle your way out of the maze.

The Showcase Of YS7 Trailer

Monday, July 20th, 2009

Ys 7 gameplay trailer

A lot of gamers are actually asking for the new Nihom Falcom’s YS7 trailer. Guys needed some action, and so browsing through some sites and blogs, I stumbled upon this video trailer for the YS7, which showcases some serious action-packed gameplay.

The trailer shows giant monsters that could beat you to oblivion. They will chase you, and basically wear you down before killing you off (of course, if you manage to beat them then, kudos to you mate). There’s going to be a lot of running in this game (given the fact that this is not a race-to-win, I daresay get ready still for some serious running. The game also looks like it will feature a radar-like mini map at the top right portion of the screen.

The YS7 will be released this September 17, so get ready to fall in line for this action-packed game. Price, of course, will be the same as any PSP-based games.

CTF Tool GUI v2 Enables You To Create Your Own CTF Themes

CTF Tool GUI v2 Released: Convert CTF Themes

With the release of patpat’s CTF Tool GUI v2, it will now enable you to convert CTF 5.00 theme to 5.50. The CTF theme that the tester tried to convert using the CTF Tool GUI v2 is Nothingface420’s Grand Theft Auto IV for 5.00.

Homebrew coder Patpat says that the conversion process from 5.00 to 5.50 is beta may not always work. This may also not work with all Playstation Portable versions since the test was done on a PSP Slim (PSP 2000) running in 5.50 GEN-B. And since this is only in its beta form, there might also be a couple of bugs when installing so be sure you follow the process perfectly.

Some said, however, that CXMB for 5.50 GEN plug-in doesn’t work with 5.50 GEN-B firmware, “rendering this useless.” But tests said it does, so maybe it depends actually on the CTF themes you are going to convert, and not on the firmwares installed in your PSPs.

Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines Will Retail for $199

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

White PSP Assasin's Creed Bloodlines bundle to sell for $199

Sony has just released the price tag for its white PSP 3000 Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines bundle. The bundle will be up for grabs for only $199. That’s a pretty cheap price with what you are going to get with the pack.

The bundle will come with a white PSP 3000 wherein the Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines is installed, a 2GB memory stick PRO Duo and a yet unnamed feature film on UMD. Yes, even as there is yet a word on rumors that Sony has killed UMD movies now, this new bundle will come with it a featured movie on UMD format.

Although nothing really supports UMD format, Sony is hoping they are going to attract more customers with the UMD movie bundle. For one, I advice that you don’t bite in to the package. Simply ask your retailer to take out the UMD feature so you can save more memory space for future games.

Codemasters Announce Release Dates For Colin McRae: DiRT 2

Codemasters announces Colin McRae: DiRT 2 street dates

If you’re a big fan of street racing (I mean, those that can be played on the PSP ok?), then you’ll be one lucky lad/gal to be reading this post. Codemasters announced that the official release date for their high-octane racing PSP game Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will be in September.

The game will be released for both the console and handheld version. US gamers will be the first to get their hands on the Colin McRae: DiRT 2 because it will debut there on September 8. Europe, Asia and Canada will see the Colin McRae: DiRT 2 on their racks come September 10 while UK will see it on September 11.

The games released are those for the game’s Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, DS and PSP versions. PC users, however, would still have to wait for the release date because no announcement has been made yet because of the problem with DirectX 11.

Amazon Retails Harry Potter UMD movie boxset

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Accio! Harry Potter UMD movie boxset available at Amazon

In lieu of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiering on cinema houses all over the world today, Amazon is selling the Harry Potter UMD movie boxset. Apparently, both Amazon and Warner Bros. are hoping that they could revive the dying format with a flick of the wrist from our favorite boy wizard.

The UMD movie boxset will feature the first five iterations of the popular book franchise. Sorry to say, however, that this collection will only be available in Europe as its video code is locked for that region. If you own a region 1 North American PSP, the UMD boxset will not work on them. Japanese units are lucky though because Europe’s video code is compatible with them.

The boxset will cost about $50, which is pretty cheap for a Harry Potter merchandise. The Harry Potter video game version for Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, PS2, Wii, DS and PC, on the other hand,  is now available for retail.
