Homebrew coder Torch released a new update of the Hold+, which is a pretty useful application that helps you preserve battery life. Fixing bugs and some recent incorporations led Torch to updating this application to its fourth version.
This latest update is a fix release for PSP owners with busted hold switches. The Hold+ v4.0 has excellent plugins including the ability to automatically switch the LCD screen and backlight (when it is enabled) off, underlocks the CPU to 60MHz, prevents the PSP from going to suspend mode and enables the PSP Slim’s fifth brightness mode.
The changelog:
- This release is a fix for those who have broken the Hold button. Now when the Hold switch is enabled, the PSP is in Hold mode until the switch is not turned off.
- Removed the Display OFF mode
The bug fix will prevent a mulfunctioning hold switch from “randomly interfering,” according to Torch. To remove display off mode, simply press the analog up button while releasing the hold.
