Dissidia Final Fantasy Leaked

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Video: Dissidia: Final Fantasy leaked?

This is no big news for me. I have been playing the demo version of the game for more than a week now. I must say, the game is something that all gamers should watch out for.

The Dissidia Final Fantasy is Square Enix’s latest hit to date. And although we know they’re not so happy about this leak, I can’t help but post this video of the game’s supposed proof leak. Based on my one-week game experience with Dissidia Final Fantasy, it has amazing graphics and features. Also, its gameplay is easy enough that even by five-year-old cousin was able to win a round with Onion the warrior. I think Square Enix made a good decision with sticking to the basics (albeit with a few notches of modernity and technology) when they made flying and hitting each other with laser beams the center of this game’s attraction.

Dissidia Final Fantasy will debut two days from now, so be ready to get your hands on some real action game.

PSP Adhoc IM Version 1 Lets You Chat

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

PSP Adhoc IM Ver. 1

The PSP is not normally used for communication, aside from the fact that you can game share and shout at each other while you battle it out in your favorite games. This little app, however, puts a stop to that and introduces another thing why the PSP is becoming a necessity these days.

The PSP Adhoc IM Version 1 by qwikrazor87 allows you to chat from PSP to PSP. It can customize background color and message colors. The message color can have a glow of the opposite color if you chose the same background color–all for visibility reasons, of course. The Adhoc applications also has a “buzz” feature, which sounds more like a “boing.” This also has a PSP search for those using the application, and can detect other PSP nicknames that are in range of your own handheld portable.

Now who says that PSP has no use but for gaming and music? This application adds another interesting feature to the PSP.

Cubic Zombies W.I.P. For PSP

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Cubic Zombies W.I.P.

To begin with, this is a work in progress but it looks pretty promising for me so I decided to post it here. The Cubic Zombies W.I.P. is A_Noob’s entry to the NEO Summer Coding Compo 2009.

As you can probably surmise in the sample screenshot, this homebrew game will be built in 3D mode, and will feature some serious actions (well, at least for kids it will). Why Cubic Zombies? This is actually quite an obvious question what with the main character’s head shaped like a box. No further review can be made on this since it’s still on its final stage, and has not been released.

I’m sure there will be lots of freebies come competition day so for now, let us content ourselves with certain prototypes like the Cubic Zombies W.I.P. Check it out by downloading below.

iR Shell Stability And ISO Patch For CFW 5.50 GEN/MHU Released

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

iR Shell Stability/ISO Patch for CFW 5.50 GEN/MHU Released

There are two new releases for your custom firmwares 5.50 running on GEN and MHU. The iR Shell Stability comes from bosshunter while the ISO Patch is from joshd666. It’s up for you to decide which one works better.

Here are the instructions for each one of the new releases.

For joshd666′s patch:

- Copy the IRSHELL directory to the root of your memory stick;

- Copy the irshell2×3x directory to PSP/GAME; That’s it, that’s all.

Meanwhile, bosshunter’s patch is a little tricky so listen carefully and follow the instructions diligently.

1. Make sure you have:

- iR Shell 5.0 installed;

- The plugins loaded by game.txt are disabled;

- Replaced the IRSHELL folder with the one provided.

2. Run iR Shell.

3. Open Directory View and go to ms0:/IRSHELL/PATCH/5.50/.

4. Run btcnfpatch.prx.

5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

6. Wait a few seconds. You should see a similar screen to the screenshot above upon success.

7. Re-enable your game.txt plugins.

8. Enjoy iR Shell.

According to greg of psp-hacks, bosshunter’s version is much better. So even though there are more complications in trying to install the app by way of bosshunter’s instructions, there are still a lot to gain in terms of features and power. Bosshunter’s patch works well with 5.50 GEN-A.

MacroFire v3.0.4 Released

Friday, August 21st, 2009

MacroFire v3.0.4

There is a new update of the plugin macrophytes, prx from ClassG. If you would remember, MacroFire allows the storage of more keys, allowing you to execute all of them with just a press of a button. It can also modify the sensitivity of analogue, and can also set the autofire for a key.

This is a perfect companion for battle games like Tekken, Final Fantasy and Dragonball Z. All those combos would usually make my head reel because of its complexity, but thanks to this new plugin, I can now battle it on with Devil Jin in Tekken without the need for me to go back to combos menu just so I can remember what buttons to press.

I am sure my kid cousin would love this little app. Although some might say it is a form of cheating, I dare to say it just makes our life easier, right?
