Launch Sales for Sony’s PSP Go

Sunday, November 8th, 2009
PSP Go

PSP Go

Sony’s PSP Go release on 1st november has been of little dismay.
In Japan, according to Famitsu, around 28000 units of PSP Go were being sold on its launch day with retail and download titles like Persona 3 Portable and Dissidia Final Fantasy Universal Tuning, as well as Disgaea Infinite and LocoRoco Midnight Carnival debuting alongside it.
This is a lukewarm response in comparison to other handhelds where Dsi sold 1,70000 in first 2 days of its launch in Nov 2008 and even PSP 3000,for all its criticism, sold above 1,40000 units in first four days.It has also been criticised for being an overpriced dissappointment.

New Metal Slug Game For PSP Announced By SNK

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

SNK’s series of Metal Slug has been a fan favorite for more than 10 years, and since the company just announced that they will be coming out with a new game, the series is showing no sign of stopping anytime soon.

This latest game is titled Metal Slug XX will feature seven stages, alternate paths, over 70 types of mini-games in the Combat School mode, additional characters, and 2-player co-op via the Ad Hoc mode. The game will be using a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Metal Slug XX is slated for a December 23 release (and we hope sooner) in Japan. Unfortunately, there is no word yet on whether or not it will be brought to Western shores. And kidding aside, those who will pre-order the game will get a free underwear. The debut trailer featured here is translated by PSPHyper, by the way.

Gran Turismo US Version For PSP Is Out

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

The highly acclaimed and highly anticipated new franchise of the Gran Turismo for PSP has just came out with its US version of the same realistic, high definition racing experience.

This version has 35 tracks and over 800 stunning cars (including the old ones). Sources are saying that new cars include a Ferrari, Lamborghini and there might be a Jaguar. The game has unrivaled graphics (never seen before in PSP games), ad hoc multiplayer support for four racers and a bonus feature for Gran Turismo 5 on PS3. And now that the Gran Turismo is already on PSP, it continues to lead the pack of hardcore racing gamers.

Developed by Polyphony Digital Inc. for PSP, players can share and trade the vehicles they have acquired throughout the game. This especially makes it more interesting since we can do trade ups with other users of the game so once you tire of your high-end car, you can immediately switch it with other cars in the game.
