Written in Java script, the JPCSP team released a new version of the Playstation Portable Emulator—0.2 Revision 1083.

This version added basic GE capture support, which the team tested in cube samples. “Until we record persistent GE state (texture on/off, etc) for best results replay captures in the same game it was recorded in,” the developer’s note said.

The team also fixed a fresh bug, and the open menu trick would no longer be needed (clicking on the file menu sometimes overlaps the display area and forces it to withdraw). This versions has also fixed the wait umd stat.

First of all, I don’t know what to make of this game exactly. True, it has charm indeed although its interface doesn’t speak much. It’s rather flat and unassuming. But the Leaf Hopper certainly has style too.

In this game, you have to fight to stay on the leaves as long as you can. It consists of three levels: the first level’s goal is for you to reach the score of 500; the second for you to reach 750; and the third by reaching 1000. Of course, by reaching the third level and finishing the 1000-point requirement, you actually win the…

Still a work in progress, the JPCSP Java-based PSP emulator for the PC gets an update from Shadow and the gang once more. Though it’s yet another minor bug fix update, it’s still progress - which is always a good thing. This version carries two new improvements, so you guys might want to update your old versions and give this a spin.

Changelog:

  • sceSasCore: fixed problem due to multi-threaded access (now synchronized methods)
  • sceAudio: play the audio output larger than the AudioLine buffer size in a background thread (analog to sceSasCore). This should improve the audio output for large sound data.
