With this new application, your PSP has just become the modern pen and paper. The app has an intuitive interface as well as smooth and clear visuals. This is indeed homebrew coder dangee’s creation for the PSP.

TxtoPS, however, doesn’t work on custom firmware 5.50 GEN-B. Also, as written in its readme file, only M33 custom firmwares are supported by the app. But it does work with PSP 1000 running on 5.00 M33-6. The TxtoPS got an IR keyboard support too although if you’d want to use a PalmOne Universal Wireless keyboard, it would probably not work also.

Remember to check out the readme file first before installing this application as details of the IRDA support and other important things on the changelog is included in it.

The Citroën C-Crosser Exclusive PSP comes with a special black PlayStation Portable Slim & Lite with two games, a Memory Stick PRO Duo and a 4 GB memory card. A built-in headrest speaker-mount enables rear-seat passengers to jam out comfortably to the PSP with some games or UMD movies.

The Citroën C-Crosser is a compact crossover SUV that first went on sale in the summer of 2007. It was designed by Mitsubishi Motors, in Japan, exclusively for Citroën, and is based on the current Outlander. The new Citroën SUV will be available only in Europe starting at 33,900 Euros.

Fresh off the rumor mill is an exciting tidbit from CES 2009 regarding forthcoming GPS support for the PSP in North America. News from CES 2009 alleges that the device is still in the works for a release sometime this year. No clear information with regard to timing or price has emerged, and nothing in the form of a press release has been dropped. For the time being, all we’ve got to go on is rumor, speculation, and that cherished, universal sentiment: hope.

Some factors look good in our favor, though. First of all, the GPS support has been available in Europe and Japan for years now, so we know that the technology is viable. Second of all, we know loads of people that would love to have this kind of hardware on their PSP, and would furthermore make good use of it. Likely they’re still ironing out details like ownership of maps and other similar corporate strangeholds. More news on this clutch piece of hardware as it drops, so stay tuned.

CES showed off a new application on the PSP that transforms it into a Wi-Fi remoter control that can handle networked audio streams from the Sony-brand audio receiver.

With the application, users can adjust settings, set up and oversee playlists, and browse audio libraries right on the PSP. The XMB drives the interface in the standard implementation.

They’re still beta-testing this, so the public release hasn’t necessarily been promised for any specific date. Other software has tried out the notion of a remote control on the PSP, but hopefully this one will take advantage of the collective knowledge to produce an application that’s ready for prime time. More news as it drops.
