Check out the homebrew FreeCheat plugin that can get a perspective on memory addresses, peep text, look at graphics, and sniff out things in the hardware that are otherwise off-limits. This is also a handy utility for creating memory dumps. You can use FreeCheat with CWCheat’s database files to maximize your geeky pleasure.

This is a handy utility all around to manage on-the-go file transfers, handle PSP to PC connections, and sort through media clips. Props to Flarejune for the coding, and we’ll look forward to updates as they drop.

For fans of drawing funny things like embarrassing words and phalluses on unfortunate, passed out victims of keg parties, check out this great little homebrew. It literally lets you draw in XMB or actually in-game. Use the analog and the R-trigger to actually make the lines, and hit the circle to change colors.

You’ll end up with rainbow swirls and fun outlines all over everything you can possibly look at. This is one of those little hacks that makes wasting time even more fun that it was before. File this under “show of all your friends how nerdy you are,” and…

Check out the PSPFlash-Card application for the PSP from HardHat. This is a nifty little utility that will simulate flash cards for memorization exercises. We like homemade applications like this, because they’re usually designed by people who actually have a need for the utility. It’s intriguing to see people taking advantage of the PSP for learning-related functionalities, even if they don’t necessarily utilize the system’s powerful visual and audio capabilities.

Users can load the first set of cards with information, such as words or phrases, and conceal one side while trying to remember the appropriate match. It works just like flash…

Mojocafe, found at http://www.mojocafe.net, lets users register with an e-mail address and then access a few online widgets for the PSP. Current applications include calendars, news feed, video feed, weather updates, and city-related visual and text-based information.

The website is now geared towards the PSP browser, from which on-the-go surfers can access the website and key in their PIN. This could get exciting in the next couple of months, with new applications and features being added as the user base expands. We’ll keep an ear to…

We just got a peek at a nice piece of custom code for your PSP that simulates a guitar and drum set-up for some spare-time jamming. You can actually sort of step program the thing, and view your composition as a skeletal score. Fans of Modplug will love this application. Step sequencing on the PSP is also very attractive to women and will probably score you a new lady on your arm to show off to your mom. Anyway, check out this application before you decide to blow your money on a real piece of instrument and a month’s worth…
