Fans of the application PSP Pandora Deluxe will be happy to know that its developer, DJB, has just released a new update. The program prepares the PSP Memory Stick to be used with the Pandora Battery. It doesn’t change your battery to Pandora, but it does copy programs to the Memory Stick. You can make the change manually.

What’s New:
Cleaned up the app a little bit, added a Status screen, and updated Hold+ to 3.5.

Fans of the popular homebrew application LightMP3 by underground code warrior Sakya will appreciate his latest effort: a much-awaited update to the software that adds some fresh new details, energy-saving features, and better file support.

Music freaks from the homebrew gangland will love the across-the-board support for MP3, ATRAC3, FLAC, and OOGG Vorbis formats. Broad power-saving functionality gets the battery life to about nine hours with the screen at its dimmest setting, and up to 11 hours with the screen off.

Keeping our heads ringing with fresh homebrew, the jpcsp team (with Shadow at the helm – hi from the bleachers!) drops a fresh revision for jpcsp v0.1. Revision 866 promises a lot of bug fixes, but also includes some further optimization. Expect better gameplay all around visually thanks to a jacked-up framerate.

BakonICE 1.80 Drops As The New Year Gets Rolling

Word from the front is that the popular homebrew project, BakonICE, is steaming ahead, and its developer, NoEffex, has made version 1.80 available to us peons. This is a tasty little home-cooked update that hosts the Socom FTB2 Cheat Device. Some tidbits from the changelog, for those of you in the know:

Flicker bug caused by _pspDebugScreenClearLine was resolved. Anti-Server lock is now removed. Animations applier has been added as a replacement for the anti-server lock. Mega overflow dilemma that gummed up version 1.70 of BakonICE was resolved.  A few other bugs got addressed, too.

We’ll keep our eyes on this project…

In case you haven’t heard, the PSP hackers over there in the boot of the Mediterranean have been drumming up a fresh new homebrew application that’s been deemed GoblinPSP. Italian PSP community member Moscas describes the application as a “utility multifunction PC.”

Available here, there’s a changelog included so you can track some of the updates from the previous version. The most notable fix is the clean-up of a major bug that caused the program to stop working on mosty systems. The current drop is available in both Italian and English.

Load this one up and try it out. We hear it…

Check out the homebrew FreeCheat plugin that can get a perspective on memory addresses, peep text, look at graphics, and sniff out things in the hardware that are otherwise off-limits. This is also a handy utility for creating memory dumps. You can use FreeCheat with CWCheat’s database files to maximize your geeky pleasure.

This is a handy utility all around to manage on-the-go file transfers, handle PSP to PC connections, and sort through media clips. Props to Flarejune for the coding, and we’ll look forward to updates as they drop.
