The Showcase Of YS7 Trailer

Ys 7 gameplay trailer

A lot of gamers are actually asking for the new Nihom Falcom’s YS7 trailer. Guys needed some action, and so browsing through some sites and blogs, I stumbled upon this video trailer for the YS7, which showcases some serious action-packed gameplay.

The trailer shows giant monsters that could beat you to oblivion. They will chase you, and basically wear you down before killing you off (of course, if you manage to beat them then, kudos to you mate). There’s going to be a lot of running in this game (given the fact that this is not a race-to-win, I daresay get ready still for some serious running. The game also looks like it will feature a radar-like mini map at the top right portion of the screen.

The YS7 will be released this September 17, so get ready to fall in line for this action-packed game. Price, of course, will be the same as any PSP-based games.

Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines Will Retail for $199

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

White PSP Assasin's Creed Bloodlines bundle to sell for $199

Sony has just released the price tag for its white PSP 3000 Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines bundle. The bundle will be up for grabs for only $199. That’s a pretty cheap price with what you are going to get with the pack.

The bundle will come with a white PSP 3000 wherein the Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines is installed, a 2GB memory stick PRO Duo and a yet unnamed feature film on UMD. Yes, even as there is yet a word on rumors that Sony has killed UMD movies now, this new bundle will come with it a featured movie on UMD format.

Although nothing really supports UMD format, Sony is hoping they are going to attract more customers with the UMD movie bundle. For one, I advice that you don’t bite in to the package. Simply ask your retailer to take out the UMD feature so you can save more memory space for future games.

Codemasters Announce Release Dates For Colin McRae: DiRT 2

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Codemasters announces Colin McRae: DiRT 2 street dates

If you’re a big fan of street racing (I mean, those that can be played on the PSP ok?), then you’ll be one lucky lad/gal to be reading this post. Codemasters announced that the official release date for their high-octane racing PSP game Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will be in September.

The game will be released for both the console and handheld version. US gamers will be the first to get their hands on the Colin McRae: DiRT 2 because it will debut there on September 8. Europe, Asia and Canada will see the Colin McRae: DiRT 2 on their racks come September 10 while UK will see it on September 11.

The games released are those for the game’s Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, DS and PSP versions. PC users, however, would still have to wait for the release date because no announcement has been made yet because of the problem with DirectX 11.

Amazon Retails Harry Potter UMD movie boxset

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Accio! Harry Potter UMD movie boxset available at Amazon

In lieu of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiering on cinema houses all over the world today, Amazon is selling the Harry Potter UMD movie boxset. Apparently, both Amazon and Warner Bros. are hoping that they could revive the dying format with a flick of the wrist from our favorite boy wizard.

The UMD movie boxset will feature the first five iterations of the popular book franchise. Sorry to say, however, that this collection will only be available in Europe as its video code is locked for that region. If you own a region 1 North American PSP, the UMD boxset will not work on them. Japanese units are lucky though because Europe’s video code is compatible with them.

The boxset will cost about $50, which is pretty cheap for a Harry Potter merchandise. The Harry Potter video game version for Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, PS2, Wii, DS and PC, on the other hand,  is now available for retail.

Lei Wulong Of Tekken 6 Video Trailer

Tekken 6: Exclusive Lei Wulong trailer

You can probably surmise that from my frequent posts about Tekken, I’m a serious patron of the game. Here is another trailer of one of my favorite characters from the popular game series. Lei Wulong from Tekken is the master of the Five-Style Chinese Martial Arts (although not too much combo), but his punches got some serious knock-out abilities.

Watching him kick some enemies’  asses in this video reminds me of a Jackie Chan movie I saw last year (the one he made with Jet Li). Lei has come very far since his debut in Tekken 1. And although he may have not that many combos, the quality of his combo extenders, however, is still way up there.

Tekken 6 will be released for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP, so do watch out for more trailers in the future.

Cyan Worlds, the creator of Myst, will finally be releasing the popular game for the PSP on July 16. Through the PSP Store, Myst will debut in US shores the same time as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will come knocking on our doorsteps.

The PSP version, according to GDN reports, will have the same format and gameplay as the original. But as a bonus treat, they will be including the New Rime Age that was supposedly released for the original (but never pushed through).

Myst brings the player in a mysterious island where “no other living soul can be found.” The player must explore the island and solve the puzzles in order to unlock the secrets of the island.

The screenshots provided for the game shows spectacular graphics and interface. Now, we just have for a few more days before we finally get a hold of PSP’s Myst.

Taking Enemies To Your Side Shown In New Undead Knights Screenshots

Turning enemies into minions in new Undead Knights screenshots

Undead Knights, which is produced by Tecmo, is a game where players can command a squad of undead soldiers taken from the enemies they have pushed to their deaths. These new minions of yours will do as they are told (yes, no questions asked. Kinda like a servant, if you ask me), and they can be used as ladders or bridges or they can also be thrown to larger enemies as a kind of weapon against them.

The screenshots—released by Tecmo—shown here shows how the lead characters turned their enemies into their minions. The minions will turn into zombies as they take the sides of the lead characters.

Undead Knights will be available in the US market in fall while Japan will be introduced to this new version on October 15.

New Tekken 6’s Christie Monteiro Video

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

Tekken 6: Exclusive Christie Monteiro trailer

Here’s a new trailer of Christie Monteiro. Yep, that hot Brazilian (Eddie’s sister, if my cousin is correct) in the popular Tekken series. Gametrailer released this new trailer of Tekken 6, which is basically compatible with every game console out there—Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP).

Christie is usually a newbie magnet because of her ferocious sense of style (and of course, the way she looks). Don’t be fooled though. Christie is actually one of my favorite characters; and not because of how she looks. But the girl got some moves really. She packed some serious butt-kicking skills that can be a match to her brother, and even the upper-skilled characters.

Between the girl characters in Tekken, I often find it hard who among them I like the best. Basically, I use Lily a lot because I love the story behind her character (a rich brat who has to fight for her father, etc.) but case in point, if we go for moves, I’m putting my bet on Christie. The girl got serious combos like no other Tekken characters before.

As we were all waiting for the new release of the Hot Shots game, we later found out that it wasn’t Skydiving after all—as opposed to what we recently thought. Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed the latest installment of the Hot Shots franchise—Minna No Sukkiri series.

There are 12 different mini games from a racing game to something where you must organize your bookshelf. Here are the games in the series:

  • Karate – Chop items that appear from the different sides of the screen.
  • Crazy Farmer – Destroy obstacles on your farm using a tractor.
  • Georama Daisakusen – An action-based game where you use guns, grenades and other weapons to destroy enemy tanks.
  • Home Run – Attempt to get the highest home run total in a batting center.
  • Striker – Attempt to hit things by kicking a soccer ball.
  • Boxing – Attempt to knock out your opponent. You can charge up to increase your attack strength.
  • Hikko Nuki – Take control of Minna no Golf character Suzuki in this vegetable-themed puzzle game.
  • Osouji – Use a vacuum cleaner to clean up garbage in a fixed amount of time.
  • Honnarabe – Attempt to organize books that have been placed out of order.
  • Pie-nage – Throw pies at annoying characters in school, on the train, and in the office.
  • Racing – A high speed race across a totally straight course. Your goal is to pass up a set number of cars
  • Sawai Giri – Make use of swords, axes and spears to chop up monsters who appear on your kitchen table in the form of vegetables.

The Minna No Sukkiri is set for a fall release in Japan. And on July 3, there will be a demo version released in Japanese Playstation Store. Hopefully, we’ll get an overseas release for this one as a lot of gamers are actually waiting for it.
