Post Your Custom PSX Eboot Icon/Background Sets!
Here are all my custom Eboot packs for PSX games.
PLEASE comment and let me know what you think!
Please note, these are not the real games, ONLY the pictures. I would upload the games, but that would be illegal.
Browse my eboot packs folder!
I'll post a preview image for each here and a link to a download that contains each of the following:
-icon0.png
-pic1.png
-snd0.at3
-boot.png
AND a preview eboot that you can use to test the look out on your psp screen without actually making the real game. It doesn't do anything when you press start, but if you do accidentally, don't worry. It'll eventually go to a black screen and from there you can use the home button to quit back to the xmb.
If you're using psx2psp and you want your eboots to look like these, then make an eboot first, and reopen it using psx2psp. Choose all the pictures from my eboot pack again and this time, the gray border around the icon will be gone, but you'll have to make the eboot again.
If you need help getting your PSX image on your psp, check out Phrotac's guide:
The Idiot's Guide For PSX to PSP
If you aren't a fan of scrolling, hit the 'Search this Thread' button at the top of this post to see if I've posted what you're looking for. If it isn't here, post a reply and I'll make it for you if I'm not really busy.

Hey guys,
I changed my FF7 icons because I realized the old ones just didn't look very good.

Final Fantasy Origins came out for the ps1 in 2003. It's a compilation of Final Fantasy I and II with retouched graphics.
I'm trying to finish the other half of Final Fantasy Chronicles (the first was Final Fantasy IV), but nothing on the internet about chrono trigger is what I had in mind, so I'm completely rebuilding the box art for an eboot. This may take a while... but it'll be awesome I promise!

Lol, I use GIMP 2. Here's a link: http://www.gimp.org
I also use microsoft paint (yes, the one that comes with every version of windows) for a lot of things, but less and less the more I learn about gimp.
And how did I do it? I added a transparent layer behind the image and got rid of everything but the characters, and then I traced out each character in 800% magnification to make sure they were perfect... and I took out the chrono trigger logo and recreated the fire and crono's sword behind it pixel. by. pixel.
I cut the monster away from crono's knee and rebuilt it then moved them apart to fill up the background without distorting the image, and then I thought for a long time about what to put in the background... and I thought that the "supernova" effect looked pretty cool.
And then I used a filter to sharpen the image and make the colors more vivid.
Here's the image before resizing and sharpening: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...83/awesome.png
You know what's funny? I've never taken an art class. I just have lots and lots of patience and a curious mind.

Well I slept too long but I wouldn't have passed the MPE anyway... I'm just going to buckle down and take the online trig course. I got a D in trig in high school anyway. Worst teacher I have ever had.
But anyway I'll make something later but now I gotta sleep and then go to work
