Default Anyone word on the next CFW Release?

I'm currently on Gen 5.50-B and there's rumors of a major release by either DAX or the GEN crew. Any new info on when we can expect a new 6.00 CFW?

5.50 Gen D is out for hackable motherboards and 5.03 Gen-B is very soon from coming out for 3000's. Both are supposed to be able to play newer games. I just watched a video on 5.03 Gen B and the guy popped in his Gran Turismo UMD and started playing it, which is a good thing if you actually buy the occasional game. I hope this brings you up to speed.

Peace, Defender

Very cool and thanks.

I'm confused on how to install it. I opened the zip file for GEN 5.50 Gen D and it has a PSP folder which has the update "EBOOT.PBP" file. But in the main directory of that zip file I also have a 550.PBP file. Where does that go in my Phat's directory?

Because here's what happened when I went to do the update. My Phat rebooted and the screen went black LOL but the power light was on. I had to hold down the power switch to bring it back. I recently changed some things in my GEN 5.50 B config (Gran Turismo, Motorstorm) but I can't figure out if anything I did would keep it from updating.

I also noticed they released a D2 update as well.

Just bumping this thread for some activity. I still haven't figured out where both files go, LOL.

i dont tend to use gen at all, im sure its the same as updating to another CFW. depending on what you are at, you may need the firmware update file as well.

place it in a folder called update, see if that helps.. PBP or PHP at the end my do different results
