We just got a peek at a nice piece of custom code for your PSP that simulates a guitar and drum set-up for some spare-time jamming. You can actually sort of step program the thing, and view your composition as a skeletal score. Fans of Modplug will love this application. Step sequencing on the PSP is also very attractive to women and will probably score you a new lady on your arm to show off to your mom. Anyway, check out this application before you decide to blow your money on a real piece of instrument and a month’s worth of mandolin classes.

Save and load features have been added to the current build, and the program will automatically keep track of your play time. Also, since there’s only a standard acoustic and synthesizer kit included with the package, there’s support for additional sound sets; the program will look for custom sounds in the Sounds/Drums/ directory. Fool with it at leisure, but expect some intermittent crashing, at least at first.

You’ll have some fun jamming on the drums and actually strumming the guitar. The graphics are pretty cute, just about appropriate for a homebrew. Props to the developer, Blade_punk, for this sweet little application.
