From developer Victory Studio comes a clone of the game Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. The original game was released in the Xbox Arcade and became one of its most popular downloads of all time. 39% of everyone who tried the demo from Xbox Arcade also purchased it. That’s very revealing about this game’s addictive gameplay. Let’s see if the clone can live up to the high precedent set by the original commercial title.
This is a careful, first release, and might be a little buggy or avoid some of the gameplay featured found in the original game, which was developed by Bizaare Creations.
Victory Studio also reports that it hasn’t tested Geometry Wars Portable v0.7 on any CFW except for 3.71 M33. The man behind Victory Studio requests that first testers of the software send reports regarding compatibilities on other firmwares. For now, grab the download package and take the game for a spin. this was awwesome, a near perfect recreation, just what i wanted on my psp ;D only have a few cons to place… 1 the rate of enemy reinsertion; that is, when one is swirling the ship around the (slightly small) playing field and an enemy randomly pops up beneth you, killing you off…. tthats kinda annoying. 2 graphics are so vibrant, *happy cheers* that is hard to see enemys under the haze in front of you. but that could just be me… practice makes perfect!!! This looks like a nice game I wish it wasn’t corrupted.
It would be cool if they would come out with some sort of newer, cleaner version. Great game for its early stages, but it still has a bit more tweaking to be done on it.
