The new Password Viewer v0.1—created by PSPatrick, and released through mhorpeox—allows downloaders to view the passwords and account names stored in your PSP system. Pretty neat, right? Although this is, of course, highly risky as anyone can have access to your passwords once they got hold of your memory stick still, the Password Viewer v0.1 makes it easy for you to retrieve your passwords.
Developer notes that:
See how this program will enable you to view and save your passwords and account id stored in the system! And then you can insert your memory stick in any psp with custom firmware from 5:00 up and see and save your passwords!
The passwords that will display are:
- Password System
- PlayStation Network
- Step-Up
- Step-Up 2
You can choose between two options “View Passwords” you will see the passwords stored in the system or “Save Passwords” that will save in ms0: / passwords_nickname.txt “where nickname is the user name from here takes the passwords.
Just be sure to keep your PSP and memory sticks in a safe place when you’re not using them. Those saved passwords (and gameplay) may not be easy to retrieve after all if you lose access to them.
