Total_Noob, the homebrew coder for this version of a custom firmware, just released an update of the Ultimate VSH Menu, which is an alternative plugin to replace the official VSH menu of custom firmwares M33 and GEN. This revised version is now compatible with CFW 5.00 M33, 5.02GEN, 5.03GEN and the latest 5.50GEN.

Here are the features of this update:

- All functions of the official VSH Menu.

- Ability to customize the colors.

- The SELECT button can either open the Recovery(in-VSH Recovery), the VshMenu or nothing.

- Recovery can reboot by holding R and exit the Recovery (useful for VSH plugins and other configurations).

- The SELECT button can be change via the combo R + L + [].

- VSH Recovery can be open in the VSH Menu.

- Random color option is available to change the system color randomly.

- An option in the VSH Menu to quickly start a homebrew (ms0:/PSP/GAME/VSHMENU/EBOOT.PBP).

- Convert battery option is available in the VSH Menu (convert battery to Normal, Pandora or Autoboot).

- Slim Colors Patch by Bubbletune integrate (only for psp phat).

In order for you to install this custom firmware, you will be needing a PSP with a 5.xx custom firmware installed (even PSP-2000v3 and PSP-3000) in 5.00M33, 5.02GEN, 5.03GEN or 5.50GEN.

By the way, here’s a step-by-step guide to properly install this revised version:

- Download UltimateVSHmenuREVISED.zip

- Connect your PSP to computer via USB Wire.

- Toggle your PSP in USB Mode.

- Click with right button of your mouse on downloaded file.

- Choose “extract files…”

- Choose the letter that the system attribute to your PSP in desktop.

- Click on OK and wait that all files are copied on your computer.

- Note : if you have old version of UVSHM, files need to be overwrited.

- Leave USB Mode

- Go to the SEPLUGINS directory from your MS

- Open (or create) the VSH.TXT file abnd add inside this line : ms0:/seplugins/vshmenu.prx 1

- Disconnect from USB mode ans reboot PSP

According to the developer, you must copy the vshrecovery.prx file to the seplugins folder on your memory stick to use it in the in-VSH recovery on ChickHEN & CFWEnabler.

With this patcher, you may now be able to easily customize individual XMB elements on your custom firmware or ChickHEn. Those who would often find it hard to personalize their background, waves, icons, batter indicator, volume bar, click sounds, etc. would find this solution a perfect way to battle through all those XMB elements.

When downloaded, it comes with several user-contributed RCOs.

First of, I’m quite obligated to tell you that this is still not compatible with the PSP Fat because of memory issues. So, if you’re hoping to install this in PSP 1000, I’m telling you right now that you can’t.

Xenogears and Becus25—the makers of the ever popular custom firmware enabler—has a new update for their now famous application. This allows you to enable features of the M33 custom firmware on PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 through the ChickHEN firmware 5.03.

Here’s the changelog for the new version:

This update really has more in store for us than the previously released versions. Becus25 and Xenogears, the creators of the custom firmware enabler released their new update for the CFWEnabler with its version 3.51. this firmware allows you to enable some forms of M33 custom firmware PSP 2000 with TA-088v3 and the latest PSP 3000 through the ChickHEN Firmware 5.03.

CFWEnabler 3.51 has these changes:

- Fixed a bug when playing within Infrastructure
- New system version
- Improved the Pops flashing system
- New update server.

The two homebrew coders still have some bug issues to fix, especially with PSP 1000 model. But I’m sure with their efficiency to update this custom firmware enabler constantly, we won’t wait for long before all these minor bugs are fixed, and the CFWEnabler is ready to work with all PSP versions.

The version of this MusicPRX comes from junkfactory. It adds one simple feature to the reintroduced MusicPRX—a battery power monitor. While browsing the XMB or even while you’re playing a game, you can listen to your music track through this application.

MusicPRX Mod Configuration Options:

• ALARM_PERCENTAGE = 20 (battery percentage to trigger the low battery alarm sound)
• ALARM_SOUND = ms0:/seplugins/lowbat.mp3 (can customize your alarm sound)
• STANDBY_PERCENTAGE = 10 (battery percentage to put the system in standby mode. Set to 10 to put the PSP in standby mode when the battery has 10% power left. Set to zero to disable system standby mode).

The MusicPRX Mod For CFWE 3.50 has only been tested with the PSP 2000 TA-088v3 with custom firmware 3.50 through ChickHEN so we still don’t know whether this is compatible with all PSP versions.

Recently, Sony released a Playstation Portable firmware update 5.51. And now, Miche2245, a German developer discovered a Game Save Vulnerability in the PSP firmware 5.50.

This firmware currently works for the Japanese version of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and the English version of Need For Speed: Underground Work. But I’m sure in the coming days, there’ll be more games compatible with this firmware. The ability to save the game is widely needed especially for gamers who always forget to pack some extra power in their batteries.

Meanwhile, the exploit you will find in the package is for the Monster Hunter Freedom 2. After executing using the saved game, you can now make use of the ChickHen, a homebrew enabler, under the PSP firmware 5.50.

There’s a more detailed instructions on the readme file included in the download, so I suggest you take a good long look on it before you install this firmware.

Gladiator, who is the official beta-tester for Raisen’s work, released this beta version of this newest homebrew application from Raisen. Called the ProjectStyle PSP v1.0, this application will upgrade the aesthetics of your Playstation Portable. It will enable you to appreciate the gaming powers of your console, and would also add hours to your gaming time because of its uncluttered and seductive design.

The characteristics of the app are as follows:

• Compatible with PSP Fat & Slim
• Compatible with Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-X (X = All updates).
• Programmed in C with Vlf library.
• Note: It must work in Other Custom Firmwares like 4.01 M33 etc, but it isn’t tested..
• Note: It isn’t compatible with ChickHen, but not tested with CFE.
• It have a lot of caracteristics and you can see it on the image. It’s like a All In One(AIO)

In the future, Raisen is said to be updating this ProjectStyle with different languages. So for foreign games, stay tuned and watch out for the new download link on Raisen’s work.
