How to put flash games on your PSP- You need Mozilla Firefox for this. Ok now go to your favorite flash game. Make sure it is simple, involving only the mouse and click, I picked Bowman 2. Pictures tell it all. Ok now go on Mozilla Firefox, and go to bowman2 (don’t have to do this game, just easier for this), go to the File at the top left, and scroll down to where it says Save Page As… , and save it to your desktop. Connect your PSP, and make a new folder on the PSP and name it Games, go to the folder and find Shock Wave Flash Object, and copy it into your new Games folder, Rename it to something you will remember. I chose b. Now go to your internet, and type in at the address this file:/Games/b.swf It will ask you do you want to run this plugin say yes.

Unfortunately for us addicted and waiting for the Gran Turismo, it will be requiring the new custom firmware 6.00. So unless you got the new cfw enabler installed in your portable handhelds guys, I doubt you will be able to play this new and exciting game. Bummer.

According to reports from TheSixthAxis, SCEA released a voucher code to some websites so they could review the game. The download is approximately 937MB in size and requires the latest 6.00 to work. This is not really surprising at all considering that Sony has always been requiring a mandatory installation of firmware 5.55 that comes along with the UMD.

But for those of you who wants a less hassle installation when Gran Turismo comes out on October 1, better download the new firmware 6.00 before getting your hands on this latest Sony game.

The last official release of PSP firmware was at the end of November 2008, and since then two separate custom firmware versions of 5.02 have appeared on the Internet.

One of the custom homebrewed firmwares was brought to us by XiaoFeiChong. This version was a recompiled M33 firmware, but XiaoFeiChong’s version doesn’t support backups, including ISOs or CSOs. Still, this is a great piece of firmware if you’re looking to get into CFW.

The second homebrewed firmware came from a group named Team Omega. Like in XiaoFeiChong’s version, there’s no support for back-ups. However, the group claims some “new support for PSX games,” but, as is often true with firmware updates, a lot of home-cooked software and plugins might get screwed up by this CFW install.

We’ve got both custom firmware 5.02 versions here, so you can give ‘em a spin if you’ve got the stomach for a potential aggravation. We’ll keep an ear to the ground for more CFW updates as they drop, so stay plugged in.
