Just in case you were getting all worked up over what MaTiaZ is up to, here’s the word: He and Freeplay have been cooking up a new homebrew game based on their earth-shattering Gripshift exploit. Titled Gripshift Rtype v0.2, this fabulous R-type clone is an all-too-familiar space-based side-scroller that features lasers, velocity, and stuff getting blown up.

You know what to do. Get the game onto your piece, load it up, and start tearing through the simulated  Universe. You’ll encounter all sorts of pixel colonies on your quest towards the epic singularity of victory.

In a much-anticipated update to the unfolding GripShift exploit drama that’s been swarming the underground, Miriam has issued a to-the-point response to Dark AleX, who dropped a bunch of allegations on top of Miriam yesterday.

Loser Takes Credit For GripShift Homebrew Enabler Exploit

Word on the grapevine from earlier today says that credit was given for the latest homebrew enabler created using the GripShift exploit to the wrong person – on purpose.

A developer known as Miriam took credit for the homebrew enabler, but Dark AleX, the original innovator of the GripShift exploit itself, announced that the exploit relied on a leak from Team C+D, and that the credit duly belongs to joek.
