As proud that we are that Sony is diligently improving its goods, our hearts are broken that OFW 5.03 brought its iron fist down on the GripShift exploit. Since the release of 5.03, word from the grapevine is that Miriam immediately went to work in his top-secret underworld laboratory to cook up a homebrew enabler. So far, though, the HEN hasn’t appeared online.

But at least there’s an explanation.

Fast Music Scroll Included In Hold+ v3.6

The popular battery saver plugin from underworld code ninja Torch has just been updated: Hold+ v3.6 includes some much needed changes, including fixes and a coupling with the Fast Music Scroll plugin that Torch also developed. Peep the changelog for details:

Changelog v3.6

  • Incorporated Fast Scroll Music functionality into Hold+. Increases the vertical scrolling speed of Music player by around 50% (scroll 300 songs in 10 seconds).

Changelog v3.51

  • 5th brightness level is now restricted to PSP Slim, because its ineffective on Phat.

Well, gentle readers, it’s finally here: Another home-cooked piece of gaming goodness for the PSP-3000 that utilizes the recently discovered GripShift exploit. The new homebrew, titled Bomberman GripShift v1, was developed by Team P86, the same elite hacker dudes who brought you PMP VLC Player for the PSP.

Bomberman GripShift v1 is, obviously, a Bomberman clone, and it’s brought to you courtesy of the Sparta SDK and GripShift exploit that MaTiAz and Freeplay dropped just a few days back.
