Developer’s note:

This release improves MP3 file duration calculation, and solves issues with long menus. The package is a ‘bare eboot’ .zip, containing only the EBOOT.PBP (replace the one in our current 0.5.4 install or a previous 0.5.5 test build with it to add these features).

Changelog:

MP3 support XING header of VBR file format

Fix problem of KDPlayer’s MP3 play time and duration issue

Solves issues with long menus

Fix bug of socket close, which makes BOLT fail to connect after using a while

The DaedalusX64 Team just revealed a new alpha version of their upcoming N64 emulator for the Sony Playstation Portable. There are plenty of changes from 402 to 407. For the changelog, read on below:

Fixed GBI1_BranchZ, GBI2_BranchZ uCode commands (Fixes Crash on Pokemon Snap on Phat)

Rev. 406:

Cleaned up some warnings;

Reduced ROM Buffer on Slim to 8Mb;

Fixed Speed regression in ROM Cache for Roms over 16Mb;

Reworked Rom cache to provide slight speed increase;

Optimized Buffers for stability (Needs testing on Phat);

Rev. 405:

Forgot an include in Microcode.cpp;

Rev. 404:

Fixed ucodes.txt being generated on every rom run. (Now Debug only and optional even then);

Small sln change to ensure compatibility with modification on VC++ Express and in prep for new continuous integration (All Alphas will be posted after commit at the SF site soon.);

Change version to Alpha for the SVN (No more need to change releases will get individual titling at release time.);

Rev. 403:

Switched from JenkinsHash to two types of Murmur2Hash (Using endian neutral hash for persistent hashes non byte fiddled textures, otherwise using faster non neutral method);

Added improved auto uCode detection (Works better with unknown roms, but may break some games needs testing);

Using smaller ROMFileCache to save memory;

Commented out added commands from Rev 402 @ Salvy’s request (Will be restored once purpose is known and can be tested);

Rev. 402:

Implemented SetConvert, SetKeyR, SetKeyGB.[Wally and Salvy]

To upgrade to the new 407, download the link and unzip it. Delete all the *.hle files (in SaveGames) as well as preferences .ini and rom.db from your memory sticks. These files are rebuilt when you use the software, which are version specific. Copy it to your PSP and overwrite all the saved files.

Released by pspflashsystem, this homebrew game has one goal: kill Homer and get out of the maze. You will have a sick rifle to use plus a minimap to help you hunt him down and eventually, get out of the maze.

LabKillHomer3D, as the name suggests, will come in 3D form (remember when Homer wound up in the 3D world during Simpson Halloween Special?) In order to get out of the maze, you have to battle and win over Homer in the final stage. This game has a map editor with four basic elements—wall, empty, player, Homer and the exit. You can save these custom maps under whatever name you’d want to use.

There’s only one way to find out what’s more in store for us with the LabKillHomer3D, download the homebrew game below and see for yourself.

To top of Sony’s 5.03 beat down recently, another security-shattering blow is delivered by Xenogears and Becus25 through the new custom firmware enabler. The CFWenabler version 3.01 contains new codes to support the PSP 3000. It also enables most, if not all, features of CFW M33 on your PSP consoles.

But remember you’re going to need ChickHEN R2 as well so download both plugins below.

The CFWEnabler 3.01 has these changes:

PSP 3000 is now supported.

Graphical interface improved.

Network update option added (Server Needed).

Official network update blocking option.

New configuration options.

Free UMD Region.

Pic0/Pic1 Hide.

version.txt.

Registry Hacks.

CPU overclocking.

Solved several bugs.

With the way our homebrew creators are updating applications and plugins, don’t be surprise when more and more new versions would come out in the following days. After all, what would an ingenious creation be if it does not fit all versions of the popular Playstation Portable? I’m sure my kid cousin would love these new downloads.
