The popular Rubik’s cube, which can be practically bought from any local stores, is now created to be enjoyed by PSP users in their consoles. Rubik’s Cube v1.6, thanks to Exter, has finally been released for the Playstation Portable.

The Rubik’s Cube v1.6 is a 3D mechanical puzzle (very much like the actual Rubik’s cube) invented in Ernő Rubik. Each of the six faces are covered by 9 stickers, or multicolored cubes. There are six colors: white, red, blue, orange, green and yellow. A pivot mechanism would allow the cube to turn independently, mixing up the colors for the puzzle. As…

Luckily, Warlock—the creator of the PSP Power Saver v0.0.8—made a few changes in the log and came up with the bug fixes for the Power Saver.

Changelog:

  • Fixed a few bugs, having to do with the powersaver battling for ram against other prxs causing random shutoffs

Aside from the importance of the amount of memory you have in your Playstation Portable’s memory card perhaps, the next best thing (if not parallel to the memory space’s importance) is the PSP’s ability to recover unsaved games when and during electric malfunctions.

The Recover Flasher v1.60 by Hellcat is sure to beat all homebrew applications out there. No decent PSP user can ever say he / she does not need the Recover Flasher v1.60. If you’re into games as much as I am, or at least you’re easily pissed and forgetful of low batteries then, the Recover Flasher v1.60 is…

There’s some Pingpong game on play here. First, the Defense Station Portable was released for the Playstation Portable (take note of the “portable”) then; a version was made for the iPhone. And now…. They are taking the Defense Station Portable back to the PSP.

Danzel’s originally crafted Defense Station Portable’s objective is simple enough: you set up shop in the area, cannons, laser towers, anti-air guns, etc. There is always an impending attack on your domain so you might as well be on defense (thus, the name Defense Station, see?). And once you take out each wave by the enemy, you’ll…

There was a time when Sk8 Dice is a mere iPhone application that friends, and friend of friends, would borrow iPhones just so they can play with the app. But then, Exogan brings us the Playstation Portable version of the infamous game.

Sk8 Dice for PSP is based on real dices and is specially made for all skaters out there. It basically has the same rules as that of the iPhone app only that now, you can download and install it in your PSPs (not sure about the models that this could support).

Sk8 Dice is a sports application developed by Sourcebits…

Daaa57150 is on to bigger things so he does not have time anymore to rebuild a new version of the DJ Drops. So if anyone else likes to pick up developing this homebrew, the final release can be found here including the source code.

This game is not yet finished so those who would want to develop it is in for some time.

Developer notes:

Who ever said that the Playstation Portable is only for action-packed games like the Tekken series and EA sports? I for one have always been fond of playing those classic board games that have been turned into an instant sensation the moment they were “computerized.”

Broodjekaas92 has just released his first homebrew game for the PSP—the TicTacToe v0.4. Now you can pass the time without having to combat all those muscled characters in your screen. It’s like playing Snakes and Ladders in your living rooms, albeit more modern and convenient.

The v0.4 requires CFW 5.00 M33-6 so make sure you already have…

The inspired anarchical implementer, Art, has just cooked up a truly interesting piece of ‘brew that’s designed from the top down to allow y’all to find and edit monochrome and 256-color bitmaps that are lurking within firmware files. Unlike older, but similar, homebrew applications, Bitmap Hunter does allow you to make changes to the images directly.

Quick lesson, in case you’re just tuning in: A bitmap is a type of image file format that’s used to store images with a specific color depth in a lossless format; bitmaps are quite close to raw image data, although they generally include header information…
