Assassin’s Creed Theme For The PSP

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

PSP Theme: Assassin’s Creed

WaffleKopter releases a new theme for the Playstation Portable. Based on the Assassin’s Creed, the new theme works with a light blue background bearing the iconic logo of Assassin’s Creed.

The color of the fonts remains in default (white) while the keyboard changes to transparent, thank to Nothingface420. Also, the background for each category (memory stick, videos, music, games, etc) changes when opened. A sample picture shows The Assassin in sideview among a vicious color of midnight blue (dark clouds, thunder and lightning).

Personally, the use of Assassin’s Creed for a theme is not my most favorite of designs but the way WaffleKopter created the theme kind of works for me too. The transparent keyboard, however, is not a good idea. The contrast it created with the background does not bode well for my eyes. But aside from that, the theme is cool and unique.

Comments have been so far suggestive that the theme works for almost all PSP versions, and some users are unanimously praising WaffleKopter for his indigenous design. Although I’d tweak some things in the Assassin’s Creed theme, it’s still pretty neat if you want that crisp and uncluttered feeling on your screens.

Crisp And Clean PSP Theme Project 7

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

So finally another Playstation Portable theme for my new gadget. I’ve been wanting something clean and crisp for ages. XanderChaos’ new creation, the Project 87, is a nice break out from the usual psychedelic themes out there.

To use this CTF theme, you need a CFW 5.00M33 or any update along with the latest CXMB plugin. Also, the downloaded theme is on a RAR file so you might probably need Winrar or 7Zip for an application (that is, if you don’t have one already).

The CTF file, by the way, when downloaded goes to your memory stick at the PSP theme.

Basically, the interface is kind of like that Vista theme where plank of woods extends to a lake overlooking another island. It’s solitary in mood and best to be used in thinking games rather in those fight action games.

The Project 7 is formatted in CTF, PTF and Flash0 for 5.00. Do check the download link below to try out this new theme from XanderChaos. It wouldn’t rock your world like some previous works but it would surely bring something out of you—what with it’s blue-based background.

Tatu Theme Is Prominent Reminder Of Russian Pop

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Tatu PSP Theme

In case you just can’t get enough of that distinctive two-girl Russian pop duo, Tatu, you now have the opportunity to install a themed tribute to the breakout sensation right on your PlayStation Portable. Of course, if you need your memory jogged a tad, we’ll remind you that Tatu are two Russian lesbians hailing from the city of Moscow, Russia, whose musical careers kicked off back in ’99.

The name Tatu comes from a shortening of the sentence “Eta devushka lyubit tu devushku,” which means “This girl loves that girl.” That’s a pretty apt summary of the band, whose two members were specially selected from a large group of contenders in a band-building effort by two prominent Russian producers. Similar to boy bands such as Backstreet Boys or N’Sync, Tatu is a musical project engineered from the top down to be a popular money-making machine. However, the girls of Tatu leveraged the authenticity of the band with their own vivacious spirit and considerable musical talents. No longer a simple in-and-out money-making collaboration, the duo tours successfully around the world and is received with acclaim by critics and partiers alike.  So, hopefully your interest is piqued; now, all you have to is follow the simple instructions below to install this theme on your PSP:

  • Place theme.p3t file in X:/PSP/THEME/ folder and select theme from XMB->Settings->Themes
  • X is your psp USB or PSP media card
  • Or Download Only theme file directly from your PSP internet browser.

Big Ben Theme Puts A Big Clock Thing On Your PSP

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

Great Britain Theme

That’s right: We think that’s Big Ben, right there, in the middle of your screen. This theme’s offers up a ton of much-righteous homage to Great Britain, that proud island state gleaming proudly from a particular latitude and longitude right here on our home planet. Big Ben, which we’re pretty sure is that thing that’s apparently central to this theme.

Here’s what’s up: Big Ben is just a nickname for the big old bell in the clock tower at the Palace of Westminster, in London. So, like, people call the whole darn tower Big Ben, too. It stands there, right there, near the Westminster Bridge, in London, a gigantic city in an awesome country that’s part of a righteous socialist union somewhere in the middle of the world.

Apparently, the bell in the Big Ben tower, whose name is Big Ben, has a crack in it, which gives it a righteous ringing, twanging, off-kilter sound. That’s a terrific reminder that every awesome nation on the planet has an authentic underbelly of eccentricity.

Anyway, you’ll want to grab this download package right here to get started installing this righteous theme. Here’s the official instruction set:

  • Place theme.p3t file in X:/PSP/THEME/ folder and select theme from XMB->Settings->Themes
  • X is your psp USB or PSP media card
  • Or Download Only theme file directly from your PSP internet browser.

Parasite Eve Aya Brea Theme Tickles Your Mitochondria

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

Parasite Eve Aya Brea

The hottest theme pack for your Playstation Portable this week has got to be the Parasite Eve Aya Brea image pack, cleaned up and ready to go. For those of you who missed out, Parasite Eve was a hot drop for the PlayStation One based on a Japanese novel by Hideaki Sena. It’s even got a movie, which hit the silver screen back in ’97.

Aya Brea is a hot protagonist from the series, Boston-born and of mixed-Asian descent, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a hand gun. She was a butt-kicking member of the NYPD who battled the storyline’s main antagonist, and her primary foil, Eve.

Here’s a quick run-down of how to get this theme onto your PSP:

  1. Place theme.p3t file in X:/PSP/THEME/ folder and select theme from XMB->Settings->Themes
  2. X is your psp USB or PSP media card
  3. Or Download Only theme file directly from your PSP internet browser.

Awesome. This one looks great, folks. It’ll spice up your screen and give you a lingering cyberpunk vibe that’ll propel you through your busy day.
